Enum NumericType

java.lang.Object
  extended by java.lang.Enum<NumericType>
      extended by org.rhq.core.domain.measurement.NumericType
All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable, Comparable<NumericType>

public enum NumericType
extends Enum<NumericType>

More detailed description of numeric measurement data. If dataType is "measurement", this further describes the measurement data. This defines whether the measurement values that get collected consistently increase over time or are dynamic and can "randomly" be higher or lower than previous values. The system will by itself generate per minute metrics for data with measurementType of trendsup or trendsdown.

Enum Constant Summary

Enum Constant Detail

DYNAMIC

public static final NumericType DYNAMIC
Data fluctuates up and down

TRENDSUP

public static final NumericType TRENDSUP
Data monotonically increases, e.g. number of Tx created

TRENDSDOWN

public static final NumericType TRENDSDOWN
Data monotonically decreases

Method Detail

values

public static NumericType[] values()
Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared. This method may be used to iterate over the constants as follows:
for (NumericType c : NumericType.values())
    System.out.println(c);

Returns:
an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared

valueOf

public static NumericType valueOf(String name)
Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this type. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)

Parameters:
name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.
Returns:
the enum constant with the specified name
Throws:
IllegalArgumentException - if this enum type has no constant with the specified name
NullPointerException - if the argument is null
